Make Lemonade from the Lemons

I knew about this video a while back when it was in production. I had read about it somewhere in an RSS feed, or was it Twitter?, or Facebook?, or LinkedIn?… anyhow I did know that this video was being created. Day before yesterday Seth Godin brought it to back to my attention. I took some time to watch the entire video and was really struck by these people who were handed the “pink slip” and in turn made something come of it. Each person has their own story, and you have the power to write the ending.

Watch this. If anything it will get you thinking.

  • This video certainly is inspiring indeed. I can relate with some of these people, if not all, with that impending feeling of doom and then feeling desperate, alone, depressed, etc.

“The first law of success … is concentration: to bend all the energies to one point, and to go directly to that point, looking neither to the right nor the left.” – William Matthews

Those people in the video have done just that. I myself, am in the midst of trying to accomplish the same. I love web development, it's my bread & butter, I've been tempted to give up recently, but watching this, just made me turn my head back to the forward and upright position, to focus neither on the left or the right. But directly the the point I am trying to reach.

Thanks for sharing this video, it made my week and has made me jump back on the train of hope.

Epic, that's all I can say. I take for granted the opportunity I have every day. I should watch this every morning and realize I need to be doing bigger things.

  • Nick I totally agree with you. Our opportunities are huge.
